Brunel Family

Brunel family. Pleased to meet you

You'll find us in Soraga, in Val di Fassa and this is our organic farmhouse

Welcome to Ciasa dò Parè, our home.
We are Aurora, Alessandro, Luigi and Flavia.
Ciasa is our bond with the land — belonging, family, warmth.

Here you’ll find a genuine world, where sustainability has always been part of life. We live it in everything we do: in our respect for nature, in the work of farmers and breeders, and in a sincere, waste-free hospitality.

We manage six apartments, cozy and welcoming, located next to our organic farm and our vegetable garden.

We raise 5 Grigio Alpina cows, 25 goats of the Pezzata Mochena breed, a lively group of free-range laying hens, and 50 beehives that in summer, up in the mountains, produce a wonderful high-altitude wildflower honey, among the finest organic products in Italy. These give us the high-quality ingredients that form the heart of our seasonal menus in the Osteria.

For us, organic is not a trend. It means living in harmony with nature, respecting the land, animals, and people.

"We need nature, and nature needs us. The love I give and the work I put in each day comes back to me: it’s a cycle, a bond with the land that fills me with pride. I feel lucky to have a meaningful role in the world."Aurora
"Nature and the mountains give so much, if you respect them. Our farm is small but authentic, and our products are 'good, clean and fair'."Alessandro

Yes, we’re a family — and also a great team, ready to welcome you and offer the wholesome products of our land. Let us introduce ourselves better.

Aurora

I was born in Soraga in 1988.
I’m a farm entrepreneur and met Alessandro, my husband, while studying.
On our organic farm I work with the bees, extract the honey, do the jar filling, make yogurt, and prepare flavored cheeses. At the Osteria I welcome and serve guests with Alessandro. Together, we share the story behind our ingredients — how we grow, collect, and process them, and the inspiration behind each dish created by our chef.

"Aurora is shy and introverted, but always warm and sweet. She’s deeply connected to her land and to nature."Alessandro

When you call or write, it’s me answering. Together with my mother Flavia, I take care of you and your stay in our apartments.

Like everyone in the house, I work hard from morning to night. Every day I adapt to the rhythm of nature, the weather, blooming and ripening cycles — sometimes unpredictable.

The earth gives me energy, and I appreciate its daily gifts.

I’m happy with my life and aware that Martin and Caterina, our children, have the privilege of growing up in a special place and learning to know and protect it together with the whole family.

The colors, the light, the sounds and scents of the seasons never cease to amaze me. When the evening calm arrives, I let myself be soothed by the crickets in summer, and by the crackling fire in winter.

Hosting is a joy, not just a job — every guest I welcome makes my work feel fresh and unique.

Alessandro

I’m from Bolzano, born in 1983.
At Ciasa dò Parè I’m in charge of the educational farm tour, cheesemaking, helping with the hay, and managing the stable with Luigi. I also work with the local producers who supply us with wine and the few ingredients we don’t grow ourselves.

At the Osteria, besides being the sommelier, I explain the story behind the dish you’ve chosen. I also represent our farm at the events we attend as organic farmers and members of the Slow Food Alliance of Cooks.

You already know how Aurora and I met. The first time I came to Soraga, I remember stopping in a traffic jam to let a group of hens cross the road. It was a taste of what my future would be.

"Alessandro is outgoing, positive, and organized. He’s a communicator: he explains with his head, but always puts his heart into it. He talks about ethics, values, and respect for the environment — and he lives them. When he tells you about a dish at the Osteria, he brings you into a whole world. And it makes everything taste even better."Aurora

In the Val di Fassa, you experience true Ladin life — it’s an authentic place. A real wonder.
Our workdays are long, but I love being around people, and it’s rewarding when guests are curious about what we do. When you come to visit, I’ll be the one telling you about our craft and the values that bind us to the land and its flavors.

Luigi

I’m proud to be from Soraga, born in 1949.
I work with the bees alongside my daughter Aurora, help Alessandro with the stable, I’m a certified educational farm guide, and I harvest hay by hand.
I’m deeply rooted in this land, in its traditions, and in the farming pride of Val di Fassa.

"Luigi is the one responsible for all the tools you see hanging around here. He’s kind, quiet, loves detail and order, and works with wood."Flavia

I love old things and the calm it takes to do things well. Thanks to our bees, which we take up to the mountains in summer, and to our friends at the Flora Alpina refuge, I met my wife Flavia.

"With his perseverance and dedication, he laid the foundations to grow the farm. He’s believed in organic farming since 2006 — long before it became trendy."Alessandro

Flavia

I’m from Falcade, born in 1953.
I’ve lived in Soraga with my husband Luigi for over 30 years.

Together with my daughter Aurora, I take care of the apartments and your stay in our home. I also help with the hens and care for our medicinal herbs.

"She’s our 'mountain witch,' flavoring all our homemade grappas and knowing every property of the alpine herbs."Aurora
"When our guests return, she spoils them, and they feel right at home. Flavia is a mountain woman — practical, with a tough shell and a generous heart. She gives so much."Luigi

We’d love to share what we believe in with you.
We’re waiting for you here at home, in Soraga, Val di Fassa!

How to best interpret a territory

Lovely place. How to best interpret an area.

Visited 4 years ago for the first time at a demonstration and lunch: since then we have tried to return but with flats always full we only managed to do so this year. We have just returned and we still have the greenery and scents of the Val di Fassa spring in our eyes.

Ciasa do Parè is an example of how you can get the best out of this territory by respecting it, working hard and interpreting it in innovative ways.
The results can be seen and tasted.

We can only congratulate you on your work and look forward to coming back! Thank you!

Esperienza di gusto e passione

It’s not just a meal, it’s a real experience and a testament to the passion and commitment to tradition and genuine things.

The staff know every single ingredient of the dishes that are served and proudly explain and recount them.

The dishes are excellent.
Not to be missed.

Local tradition and oriental influences

What can I say about this extraordinary experience at this agritourism-restaurant? I would say it is a unique experience.

It is perhaps one of the true agritourisms I have had the pleasure of visiting, where almost everything served is the result of constant work by the chef and the owners, husband and wife. From the milk and cheese from their cows to the delicious alpine grey meat, from the goats to the speck to the fresh vegetables, everything is produced on site.

Matteo, the chef, is an exquisite and very special person, who manages to skilfully combine local tradition with a touch of Asian innovation or various oriental influences in his preparations.

Kudos to the owners for creating such a special place, but above all kudos to Chef Matteo for his extraordinary cuisine.

Menu with zero-km and local products

I stayed at this farm for 2 days with my wife and our little dog, we have reserved a really nice flat with every comfort with a super view of the Dolomites.

The breakfast that was prepared for us is really above all expectations, biscuits, cakes, juices, cold meats, cheeses and yoghurt all homemade zero km everything is SUPER.

This agriturismo offers the possibility to dine inside the restaurant (which is very nice), obviously also here we have a menu with zero km and local products. Everything is really very good, I chose a medallion of venison with celeriac puree……UN PIATTO A WHICH I GIVEN THE VOTE OF 10 AND LODE.

All the staff are very kind and really very knowledgeable, we will definitely be back.
Many thanks to Aurora and Alessandro from Mirko Erica and Teo.

Route through the tastes and scents of the mountains

I had dinner at this agriturismo on a Sunday in August and it was an incredible experience.

From appetiser to dessert it was a real journey through the flavours and aromas of the mountains.
The dishes they serve are simple but elaborate at the same time, special to the palate and full of emotions.

Super friendly and professional staff.

A warm and welcoming environment

A warm and cosy ambience where a dinner beyond expectations took place: we were amazed by the ability to combine and balance flavours in the dishes, integrating innovative elements with high quality traditional ingredients.

The value for money is beyond fair and the owners very friendly.
We will definitely be back.
